When the iPad Pro went missing in action at Apple's press event last October, speculations began to arise that the tech company will push through with the release of the larger tablet in the second quarter of next year.  But while that seems like a long way off, the device is rumored to have specs and features that are worth waiting for — even better than those of the iPad Air 2.

One of the new rumored features of the upcoming iPad Pro is better audio system, with the stereo speakers and microphone to be placed on top of the tablet. The audio system has been one of the main problems of iPad users, thus, it is expected that the next iPad model would address this issue.

Moreover, the device will have a better screen display as the market seems to be geared toward devices with larger screens. The preference for bigger displays has prompted Apple to release the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and the company is expected to do the same with the next iPad. The iPad Pro will reportedly have a 12-inch screen panel and a thin profile.

The screen will also have an ultra-high resolution or Retina HD. Reports say that Apple will make use of the new LCD technology that will give the display better color saturation and faster response to touch.

Other rumored features of the iPad Pro are purported to be similar with the iPad Air 2 such as:

  • A8X processor
  • Adreno 420
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • iOS 8
  • 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB internal storage
  • 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front-facing camera
  • Touch ID fingerprint sensor

Meanwhile, the iPad Pro will be a tablet-PC hybrid that will aim for the business sector. Thus, its features will center both on entertainment and business areas.

In addition, the release of the iPad Pro will reportedly mark the end of the current iPad mini. The miniature tablet's place will be replaced by the iPhone 6 Plus. This is because the smartphone already sports a 5.5-inch display and its successors will reportedly have displays close to the current 7.9 inches of the iPad mini 3.

This rumor is supported by the reports that some Apple fans refrained from buying the new iPad mini 3 as they prefer the iPhone 6 Plus due to almost similar screen sizes as well as the more advanced features of the Apple phablet.

However, the Cupertino-based company has not commented on the rumors yet.
