After Apple introduced the iPhone X to the world last year, it might be a challenge to make the next flagship iteration more radical and exciting in the public's perception. The Cupertino-based tech giant had thrown away almost everything that the users know about the classic iPhone design, and 2018 will be another opportunity to feature more changes in the iPhone. For one, the iPhone 2018 models could be offered in brand new color option, specifically the so-called blush gold.

According to the latest reports, Apple could offer a new color option for the upcoming iPhone 2018 units. The next flagship phone is expected to come in blush gold variant, as teased by designer Benjamin Geskin.

To note, previous iPhone models like the iPhone 8 already featured a gold option, but Geskin's recent tweet suggests that the blush gold color will be different. He even posted the pictures of the SIM card tray of previous gold iPhone variants together with that of the rumored blush gold iPhone 2018 model to draw a clear comparison.

However, it is not certain if this blush gold iPhone 2018 will be available in every iPhone units coming this year. The only gold option for now is offered in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus as a finish option, and even the iPhone X flagship is only available in space gray and silver options. It is possible that the blush gold variant will only be featured in selected iPhone models.

It was tipped that Apple is preparing three iPhone 2018 models, including the direct successor of the 5.8-inch iPhone X.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the company is also set to launch a bigger iPhone X2 or iPhone XI Plus model with a staggering 6.5-inch OLED screen. There will be another plus-sized 6.1-inch iPhone model to be offered later this year, but it is not going to be as expensive as the iPhone X successor because it will use an LCD panel instead of OLED.
