iPhone 6s release date: Next smartphone coming in September?

Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Apple

If Apple Inc.'s history of releasing its new products will be the basis for the release date of the next smartphone from the company, then the alleged iPhone 6s will probably come out early next month.

In the previous years, the Cupertino-based tech firm unveiled their products either on Sept. 8 or 9 of each year. The latest smartphone release from the company was the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which were introduced in 2014.

For this year, rumors are rife that Apple Inc. will be unveiling a new version of their iPhone 6 product line, which is reportedly called the iPhone 6s. Speculations say that the device will feature most of the well-loved features of the current Apple flagship, but it will also possess several improvements for a better smartphone experience.

One of the alleged new iPhone 6s features is Force Touch technology, which are currently installed in the latest MacBook line and the company's first wearable device, the Apple Watch. The technology aims to help users get the most out of their touchscreen experiences by letting them apply several shortcuts that will match the device's most widely-used apps.

Other reports claim that the new iPhone device will also feature better improvements under its hood. According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone 6s will have a brand new Qualcomm LTE chip, which will give it a longer battery life. It will also come with a faster A9 chip made by Apple Inc. for faster function, as well as a larger 2 GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, the latest speculations claim that the iPhone 6s release will also come with a smaller 4.7-inch smartphone allegedly called the iPhone 6c. Rumor has it that the iPhone 6c will have a premium metal chassis in various colors. The device will also allegedly have a more pocket-friendly price with the same high-end specs.

Apple Inc. is expected to make an announcement about the devices' release in the coming weeks.
