Apple Inc. recently concluded its quarterly earnings report, which unveiled that the company sold 75 million iPhone units during the fourth quarter of 2014. But aside from the sales recorded by the Cupertino tech giant, consumers are more interested to know when the highly awaited new iPhone products will be released this year.

One of the rumored new iPhone devices that will come out in 2015 is the alleged iPhone 6s, which is the smaller version of the bestselling iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

According to earlier reports, the alleged iPhone 6s model will come with a smaller 4.7-inch screen. It will also have the latest Apple A9 chip to boost its power, as well as a bigger RAM once it is given a 2 GB upgrade. The upcoming iPhone device will also have the Touch ID technology which has a fingerprint scanner that can be included into the display screen instead of putting it in the device's home button.

Also, the cameras of the upcoming smartphone from the Cupertino company will have an upgrade. The current specs of the iPhone 6 built-in camera is set at 8 megapixels, while reports about the alleged iPhone 6s mentioned that it will have a 21-megapixel primary shooter. An Apple commenter also reported that the upcoming iPhone camera will have a two-lens system that contains two lenses to capture images that has DSLR-like quality.

In addition, the never-ending rumors about the sapphire glass feature of future iPhones is also mentioned in the alleged specs of the upcoming iPhone products like the iPhone 6s. However, there is no confirmation about it since the company encountered problems with their sapphire glass supplier earlier.

If rumors will turn out to be true, the iPhone 6s and the rumored iPhone 7 may be unveiled in September 2015, one year after the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were revealed. Apple is known to unleash their new products before the end of the third quarter every year.
