It really seems that the iPhone 7 will be launching next month. Rumors abound everyday, with some saying all units of the model will feature a dual-lens camera and A10 SoC chip. Others are saying that the iteration will have price tag of above US$700.

The dual-camera setup has been in the rumor mill since the beginning. It is also believed that the 3.5 mm headphone jack has been removed, a rumor further strengthened when an image of a Lightning-to-3.5 mm adaptor surfaced on the internet, Macworld reported.

It is also speculated to be thinner than its predecessor, contain redesigned antenna lines and come with a 32GB storage for the basic model, with an option to go as high as 256GB. A redesigned Force Touch home button is also expected, along with a darker color called Space Black, 9To5Mac added.

The rumored iPhone 7 is also said to be sporting a new A10 processor chip manufactured by TSMC using the 16nm FinFET technology, and 3GB of RAM. Its reduced thickness is said to be a result of a new chip technology called FoWLP or fan-out wafer level packaging platform, which takes away the printed circuit board from the components used. The said process claims to offer 30 percent increase in chip efficiency and a 0.3 mm reduction in thickness, WCCFTech mentioned.

With regards to the pricing, the lowest estimated price of the upcoming iPhone 7 is rumored to be at US$549 for the base model. However, other reports claim that the base model will have a price tag of US$796, and the Plus model will be at US$916. These are outright purchases for the unit. Phones purchased from carriers will be offered at a lower price.

The Apple iPhone 7 is speculated to be unveiled on Sept. 7 and go on sale by Sept. 16. The company has not released any official statement on the phone.
