Reportedly, Apple is ready to take the veil off its newest iPhone iteration. Speculations suggest that the iPhone 7 will come out in the market on Sept. 16.

Reporting on Apple's plan for a major overhaul on its laptop lineups, Bloomberg may have inadvertently announced the purported release date for the iPhone 7. Apparently, the new iPhone will come out to markets on September 16, and pre-orders will go live possibly early next month. The release date of the iPhone 7 is a follow-up from its debut, as rumors suggest that Apple plans to launch the new smartphone, as well as other flagship products, in a press event on September 7.

The mid-September release has already been supposedly leaked previously. Last month, noted tipster and leaker Evan Blass has announced that Apple is thinking of releasing the iPhone 7 during the "week of September 12." Accordingly, pre-orders for the new iPhone will go live as early as September 9.

Meanwhile, prior to the supposed release next month, Apple has yet to come out with confirmed details on the iPhone 7. Nonetheless, a number of supposed leaks have already made their way online, supposedly showcasing the new flagship smartphone. If the leaks prove to be true, then the iPhone 7 is expected to come out with a dual-cam setup, and POGO pin connectors at the back – this hints at modular add-ons like the recently-released Moto Z series. The iPhone 7 is also rumored to come out sans the standard 3.5mm audio jack, in favor of Lightning-type ports, and a possible wireless "AirPods."

However, it is already expected that the iPhone 7 will only have minor specs updates and a handful of design improvements. Reportedly, this year's iPhone iteration will only serve as an interim release, as Apple plans to completely overhaul the specs and design for its smartphone lineup starting with the iPhone 8 next year.
