It hasn't been too long since Apple released the iPhone 7, but the rumor mills are finally stirring anew for the iPhone 8.

According to LearnBonds, there are mixed reports about the impending release of the iPhone 8 with some hinting that it will come out as early as June 29, in time for ninth anniversary of the first iPhone release.

There are also reports that it could come out on August 2017, which is closer to Apple's trend of releasing. There are also speculations that it could be announced within the first two weeks of September.

Based on the same report, in an effort to become more innovative in a market that is steadily growing more competitive, the iPhone 8 may feature a 10 nanometer A11 chip that is faster and more efficient that current chips being used in the industry.

It is also expected to feature an OLED screen, long-range charging, and an all glass body that would boost the quality of images on the display.

A report by Yibada supports this probability and indicated that the OLED screen could be manufactured by Sharp after Apple and the company inked a deal wherein the latter will provide panels for devices that Apple will release in 2017.

With the iPhone 8 expected to release next year, the phone could well be one of the devices that will utilize Sharp panels.

It was reported that what makes the Sharp panels a possible game changer is its free-form display technology that allows for curved edges. It was already impressive in its early stages but it promises to be even more so when it is ready for release a year from now.

A TouchID sensor could also be integrated into the iPhone 8 screen, with the rumored use of a virtual home button for the next Apple smartphone, reported Forbes.
