It has been a few weeks since pre-orders were available for Apple's latest flgship device, the iPhone X, but lately, there have apparently been delays in the shipping and delivery of these new phones. However, these issues seem to have been sorted out as less customers have been complaining about delays.

Apple apparently had some initial production problems with the new Face ID feature of the iPhone X, as per International Business Times. However, that has since been resolved, and Apple now concentrates on producing more iPhone X units. From the initial estimates of five to six weeks, waiting periods have now been cut in half, with customers only having to wait two to three weeks before receiving their new smartphones.

Earlier this month, Apple CEO Tim Cook also assured buyers that they would make sure production would not lead to any delays in shipping. He revealed, "The ramp for iPhone X is going well. Considering it's the best iPhone created and with the advanced technology. We're really happy that we're able to increase week by week what we're outputting. Were going to get as many of them as possible to customers as soon as possible."

Initially, after Apple's reveal of their iPhone X, many speculated that not a lot of people would actually order it. However, a few hours after pre-orders were made available, the iPhone X was mostly sold out. The problem arose when the estimated delivery dates given by Apple were around early December, beating the purpose of a pre-order.

Numerous rumors went around saying that Apple might have had a production problem regarding the iPhone X's feature such as the TrueDepth Camera module or the "antenna" of the phone. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst of KGI Securities, also speculated that Apple might not be able to produce enough phones to support the demand for the new device, atleast not until the next year.

Pre-orders opened last Oct. 27, and the iPhone X was officially released last Nov. 3. Interested buyers can order via the official website or visit their local retailers to get a hold of the smartphone.
