Rumors about the upcoming iPod touch 6G are rife, but there are very few details known about it. Not to mention, there is only close to a handful of sources that have reported about it, Stabley Times is one of them.

As of the moment, any report about the iPod touch 6G should be taken with a grain of salt. As long as Apple hasn't said anything about it, these reports will remain as rumors and speculations. Making that clear, here are some of the details that are out there:

According to Stabley Times, Apple is making sure that there will be no leaked information about the iPod touch 6th Gen. But the media outlet learned that the iPod touch 6G will run on an A8 chip like what the iPhone 6 is using. Apart from that, Apple will be releasing the new iTouch in bigger display sizes, 4.7 and 5.5 inches in particular.

The increase in display size may have something to do with the color upgrade. For years now, users have complained about the bright neon hues on the older iPod touch devices. When Apple did the same thing with the iPhone 5C, users didn't like it either. With such change, it appears that Apple is making the iPod 6 a more serious product, one that adults will not hesitate to have.

So, when will the iPod touch 6th Gen arrive, or better yet, when will Apple make the announcement? Stabley Times reported that Apple is still currently dealing with the overwhelming demand of the iPhone 6. And only when they get that out of the way will the production for the new iPod start.

Right now, Apple is hard at work at delivering those supplies to their customers, which could very well mean that the iPod 6 is on its way soon as well. This huge Apple surprise could come out early 2015 or more probably, the first half of the year.
