Whatever happened to the iPod 6 Touch 6th generation?

The device was supposed to come out in September last year but thus far, nothing has come out nor has there been any word on when it will hit the market. But now rumors are surfacing once more and the long overdue Apple device could come out either this April or September.

Sources believe that the reason for the holdup was mainly due to the huge demand that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus had.

Apple had reportedly experienced some problems as far as the parts are concerned but now it looks like the company has finally settled down and buckled back to work on the iPod 6 Touch. Among the parts that were said to be affected may have included the A8 chip and displays.

While the demand for the iPod Touch 6 may not necessarily be as high if you compare it to the iPhone 6, there is still a market waiting out there. And for these customers, an official announcement is keenly awaited, particularly at Apple's next event which will reveal the iWatch.

Attention on the iPod has been cut severely with most folks opting to get an iPhone which carries most of the features that the iPod Touch normally carries. But then again, pricing and the fact that there are still people who look for a reliable music device, the iPod is certainly still the gadget that comes into mind.

With regards to the rumored features, the iPod Touch 6th Generation could very well be similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (i.e. screen size). Other than that nothing exclusively available on it exists, perhaps something that could make a difference when customers try to differentiate it from Apple's actual iPhones.
