Marvel won't be kicking Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ) out of his Iron Man suit after all.

Though there have been rumors that Marvel would be looking for someone else to fill in the role of genius billionaire, Tony Stark, a new interview with Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios' president, reveals that the company has no plans of taking RDJ out of the "Iron Man" film franchise just yet.

Talking about the different Marvel superhero characters and their cinematic growth with Variety, Feige says the company is lucky that it doesn't have to recast any of their main "Avengers" superheroes any time soon.

"There are a lot of movies that everyone is signed on for, and we get to enjoy them for a long time. Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man, and right now I can't envision anyone else. Chris Evans has embodied Captain America as well as any actor has ever embodied an iconic pop-culture figure like that. I go back to Chris Reeve as Superman as the gold standard, and I think Evans is right there. I couldn't imagine anybody else," the Marvel CEO revealed during the interview.

Earlier in the discussion, Feige has also praised RDJ's work as Iron Man, molding the character and shaping him into a person that the audience could relate with. The actor's rendition of Iron Man makes up a very large portion of the "Iron Man" film franchise as well as other franchises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rumors of Iron Man getting recast by some other actor came up after Feige mentioned that someday, characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Batman and Bond would be played by different actors.

""These characters have been around for 50-plus years, and have been relatively ageless. Sometimes there are alternate stories where the character is younger than they usually are, or older, but they usually maintain a certain age," Feige explained.

However, what fans failed to see was that the Marvel president also followed up to say that neither he nor the studio has to think about replacing the actors any time soon.
