'Iron Man 4' movie could still happen; slated for 2019?

Will Robert Downey Jr. wear the red and gold iron suit once again for another Iron Man film? Wikipedia

"Iron Man 4" may still happen but far in the future, 2019 perhaps?

In an interview with Collider, Marvel president Kevin Feige talked about the possibility of another "Iron Man" movie — or that it's not impossible to have one.

"Of course anything's a possibility. Who the heck knows? We have a lot of work to go to finish Avengers 2. We have a lot of work for whatever Avengers 3 is, that's all folks need to know. Who knows what happens after that?" Feige said.  "If there are more years after 2019, then there will be more possibilities. I hope there are more years."

Feige added that he hopes that the "Iron Man" movies will resemble the James Bond series that has become a cult.

This has raised the hopes of waiting "Iron Man" fans.  However, before fanatics jump for joy, Marvel's films lined up for 2015 and 2016 are almost final, which makes the chances of another "Iron Man" film slimmer. Moreover, Robert Downey Jr., who played Tony Stark in all "Iron Man" films, has a packed schedule already with "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War."

The actor also announced in "The Late Show With David Letterman" that there are currently no plans for a fourth film of the "Iron Man" series, but he will still be working with Marvel Studios on other projects.

"There's no plans for an Iron Man 4," Downey said.  "There's no script for Iron Man 4... But I'm gonna do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still gonna be involved with Marvel."

Downey will most likely wear the iron suit again and fight alongside other Avengers in parts one and two of "Avengers: Infinity War," slated for release in May 2018 and May 2019, respectively.

With the possible "Iron Man" installment still far off and the unavailability of Robert Downey Jr., the supposed 2019 "Iron Man" movie could be a remake with a new actor to star in the film. Still, fans should take this with a grain of salt since nothing is official yet.
