"Iron Man" has been one of the most iconic superhero movies, and as such a lot of fans are in need of another installment featuring Tony Stark's adventures. Millions of fans are clamoring for the cocky, billionaire philanthropist to return, but with "Iron Man 4" absent from the list given by Marvel for its superhero flicks in the coming years, a lot of fans are worrying about Iron Man's return.

According to Game N Guide, it is still unclear if Robert Downey Jr. will return to reprise his role as Tony Stark since a lot of reports online have been spewing contradicting facts. At one point, he even went far as to say that the third "Iron Man" movie will be the last one in the hit movie series. Recent reports, however, say that Downey will be returning as Iron Man once the movie gets another installment by the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Currently, the MCU is in its third phase, which started off with "Captain America: Civil War" and is expected to end with another sequel to the "Avengers" movie, which will be "The Avengers: Infinity War" that will premiere by 2019.

With nothing clear just yet, some rumors also say that a fourth "Iron Man" movie will not be possible because Tony Stark will die in another Marvel film.

If ever the "Iron Man 4" movie gets a release, the Ecumenical News reports that Spider-Man (played by Tom Holland) will appear in it. After all, the hero debuted in "Captain America: Civil War," so it is hugely possible that his appearance will be featured by the time the fourth movie is out.

Regardless, there are no official announcements about the movie's release just yet, so it is possible that once the third phase of the MCU is over, they will start confirming whether or not another "Iron Man" movie will be in works.
