Time sure flies for the Dillard family from 19 Kids and Counting, especially since their latest addition Israel David Dillard has just celebrated his first month birthday.

His happy parents Jill and Derick Dillard greeted him on their respective Instagram accounts (@jillmdillard and @derickdillard), and Jill in particular expressed her hope that her son will grow up to be just like Derick.

She shared a photo of a sleepy looking Israel David and wrote, "Happy first month birthday to our handsome big guy! @derickdillard I hope and pray he grows up to be just like his daddy!"

Meanwhile, her husband posted a different photo of Israel David, who is still looking sleepy and captioned it, "Happy 1 month birthday to this little man! He is growing up so quickly; it seems like just yesterday he was crying and we were changing his diaper. Oh wait..."

Jill earlier revealed that motherhood is different from what she had expected, and that she has found herself calling up her mother Michelle and asking her for baby-caring advice.

"There are a lot of things that seem different than I thought they would be," Jill admitted to PEOPLE. "I have just asked my mom a lot of questions about what is normal and what to expect. I call out to my mother and ask things like, 'Is this feeling normal?" and 'How long should I nurse?'"

Despite her broad experience caring for babies (Jill has 15 younger siblings and works as a student midwife), the new mother realised that there are some things she needs to experience firsthand in order to understand better.

As for Derick, who had zero experience caring for babies prior to his son Israel David, Jill considers him "amazing" with daddy duties.

"I'll start nursing and when I'm done, he'll take the baby and change his diaper and put him to bed. That is his little routine," she shared.
