A couple of stars from the "Veronica Mars" series are being brought into "iZombie" season 3. One of these comeback actors will be Jason Dohring, who will portray Vivian Stoll's (Andrea Savage) brother-in-law.

At the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, executive producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright revealed that a couple of stars from the previous series that they created – "Veronica Mars" – will be joining "iZombie's" third season.

Daran Norris portrayed Cliff McCormack, a public defender in "Veronica Mars" that helped Keith (Enrico Colantoni) and Veronica (Kristen Bell) Mars on their cases, while Ken Marino used to portray Vinnie Van Lowe in the previous series, a private investigator that competes with the Mars' in Neptune.

The two "Veronica Mars" alums have guest starred in "iZombie" before. Daran Norris first appeared as Johnny Frost in the pilot episode of the series and appeared two more times until the end of season 2. Meanwhile, Ken Marino first appeared was as Brandt Stone in episode 18 of "iZombie" season 2.

Both actors will be reprising their roles in the return of "iZombie" season 3. The lead in "iZombie" who plays Liv – Rose McIver – posted a photo on her Twitter. The post featured the actress sandwiched between the two returning actors.

Another "Veronica Mars" alum that will be coming to "iZombie" will have a more intimidating role. Dohring – who used to play Logan Echolls, Veronica's old sweetheart – will be portraying Chase Graves, brother-in-law to Vivian Stoll.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Dohring will first appear in the eighth episode of "iZombie" season 3, titled "Eat a Knievel." No other details have been revealed about Dohring's Graves, but he is said to be part of the Fillmore Graves legacy, which caused speculations that he will cause double trouble for Liv, who is trying to stop Stoll and her plan to make Seattle "the capital of the zombie homeland."

"iZombie" season 3 premieres in 2017 on The CW.
