While filming for the upcoming episodes will officially begin in the second week of August, Gina Rodriguez has already teased several details about "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

The lead star of the critically acclaimed satirical dramedy told Wetpaint that viewers will still get to see her character Jane's husband, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier). However, she still has no idea about the character's fate in the upcoming season after he was shot during their wedding night.

"I don't know if he's alive or dead but you're going to see him," Rodriguez said.

The actress revealed that Jane will finally go through a highly anticipated change in season 3.

"[Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman] has teased that Jane is losing her virginity in season 3, so I think it's safe to say, if Jennie says it, it's probably true," the actress added.

Rodriguez did not reveal if she will lose her virginity to her husband Michael or to Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), the father of her child Matteo.

However, the actress who portrayed the role of young Jane, Jenna Ortega, admitted in an interview with Bustle that she wants Michael to be with Jane all the way.

"I feel like he deserves Jane. He's like the OG fiancé and I think he's super sweet," Ortega said. "And I love how he's always looking out for Jane... how he helped her grandma stay in the country and things like that. It's just little things that help Jane's life so much, even if she doesn't feel the same way about him."

Meanwhile, reports claim that Jane's parents Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) might have to face a lot of challenges in the upcoming season of "Jane the Virgin" due to Xo's pregnancy with the child of Esteban (Keller Wortham).

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 17.
