Both Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Xo (Andrea Navedo) are having love problems in the next episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 2.

The synopsis for the episode reveals that Jane will turn to her mother for help regarding her growing feelings toward her grad school professor Jonathan Chavez (Adam Rodriguez).

In the sneak peek, Jane will daydream about being intimate with Professor Chavez while he talks to her privately in his office regarding her latest homework.

Adam Rodriguez recently talked to Entertainment Tonight to reveal his thoughts regarding Jane's attraction to Professor Chavez.

The actor said that for him, Jane is the coolest girl on television, and he would love to see his character be the one who "gets to cross out 'The Virgin' in 'Jane the Virgin.'"

"I'd like to believe he has what it takes, but what he doesn't have is the pen that [creator] Jennie Snyder-Urman wields, so I don't know if he'll be the guy or not," the CSI Miami alum said. "We'll have to keep tuning in to see, but I'd love to get a script that says I'd be the guy who gets to do that."

Meanwhile, Jane's mother is also in the middle of a relationship dilemma with her father Rogelio (Jaime Camil).

In the previous episode, Xo announced immediately after Rogelio proposed to her that she does not want to have kids anymore. This seemed to dampen Rogelio's spirits, since he admitted that he does not know how he feels after Xo's announcement. He made it clear in the previous episodes that he would love to have other kids since he was not there when Jane was growing up.

The rest of the synopsis for the episode reads:

"Meanwhile, as a favor to Rafael (Justin Baldoni), Jane agrees to help Petra (Yael Grobglas) by throwing her a baby shower. Luisa (guest star Yara Martinez) is in a terrible car accident, but all is not as it seems. Michael (Brett Dier) comes to a realization he must share with Jane."

The next episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs Monday, Feb. 22, on The CW.
