Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) finally gave birth to her accidental son by the end of the first season of "Jane the Virgin," but it does not mean that things will be less complicated for the new mom in season 2.

In a recent interview posted on PEOPLE magazine, Rodriguez said that fans should definitely look forward to the upcoming season. She described the premiere as a smart episode, and also revealed that things will get a lot better as the show progresses.

Moreover, she talked about the love triangle between Jane, her baby daddy Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and her ex-fiancĂ© Michael (Brett Dier), but it does not mean that she will not meet a new man next season.

"Jane is going to get married, which is a very cool spoiler," the critically-acclaimed actress teased. "I don't know who. It could be a third person, you never know."

But aside from her character's ever-exciting love life, Rodriguez also said that Jane's journey as a new mom will be highlighted this season.

"You're going to venture with Jane and her discovery of trying to figure out motherhood," the actress said. "And I think what's very cool about that, having two older sisters that have very young kids and one of my sisters is pregnant right now, just to see how honest [series creator] Jennie [Synder] is."

Meanwhile, "Jane the Virgin" season 2 will have a star-studded line of guests. It has been confirmed that pop princess Britney Spears and singer/ rapper Kesha will appear next season.

Spoilers Guide revealed that Kesha will portray a loud musician named Annabelle who lives next door to Jane. According to the spoiler, Annabelle is not as baby-crazed as Jane, which means that a conflict could arise between the neighbors.

Spears, on the other hand, will allegedly appear as herself in episode 5 to confront her greatest enemy, Jane's father Rogelio (Jaime Camil).

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 begins on Monday, Oct. 12, on The CW.
