"Jane the Virgin's" new season is about to premiere on The CW. While fans of the series know that Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is still torn between Michael (Brett Dier) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni), showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman confirmed that ultimately, Jane will have to make a choice as she is set to get married this season.

"Jane will get married," Urman told Entertainment Weekly. Although the showrunner didn't reveal who Jane will choose, the website reports that there could be a new contender for her heart in the second season.

"There's a big development," said Urman.

In the finale of the show's first season, Jane's baby, Mateo, was kidnapped by Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan), but the new season will see him back in his mother's arms.

"The baby is coming back!" Urman confirmed.

And while Jane will be busy caring for her little one, she'll be trying to balance motherhood and her career life as she intends to do well in both aspects of her life. The actress said that this season's emotional story will center on Jane as she tries to find out how one becomes a mother yet "still retain one's sense of self and accomplish all the things she wanted to." This will become of utmost importance to the character, seeing as she is a young woman who hasn't planned on being a mother so soon.

Apart from that, Jane will also be looking to her American and Latin upbringing as she tries to figure out how to combine them to raise her baby.

"We're going to see how one can raise a bilingual child," Urman revealed.

As for Sin Rostro, fans should expect the crime boss to be back as Urman said that although she escaped last season, she is set to cause some drama when the series returns.

Season 2 of "Jane the Virgin" premieres on Monday, Oct. 19, at 9 p.m. on The CW.
