'Jane the Virgin' season 2 spoilers: Will Rafael and Michael ever be friends in midseason finale?

After the Villanueva women brought Rafael (Justin Baldoni) to his first Black Friday shopping at Target and revealed that he paid someone to lie to the police regarding Michael's (Brett Dier) involvement in the kidnapping of Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) newborn son, fans will have to wait for a while to find out what's next for "Jane the Virgin" season 2.

The CW has yet to reveal the plot for the midseason finale of the critically acclaimed comedy drama, which means that viewers of the show will have to wait until Dec. 14 to find out how Jane and Michael will deal with the revelations.

In an exclusive interview with TV Line, Baldoni talked about the complicated situation involving his character Rafael, Jane, and Michael after Jane was accidentally impregnated by his sperm while she and Michael were engaged.

When asked if there will be a possibility for Rafael and Michael to move past the awful turn of events and become buddies, the actor said that he is still unsure if this will happen in the future.

"I don't know if they can ever be friends. As long as they're both in love with Jane, it would be very difficult," the actor explained. "I think it's little easier for the women. Men are very stubborn. All Rafael wants is to be with Jane and to be with his son, so if that can happen with Michael in the picture, then I'm sure Rafael could be open to it."

Baldoni also talked about his reaction when Rafael found out that his ex-wife Petra (Yael Grobglas) is now pregnant with twins. It means that his character, who earlier thought that he will never have kids, will soon become a father of three even without having sex with either Jane or Petra.

"It's pretty amazing, and I'm really looking forward to figuring out how we can navigate both of those worlds," Baldoni shared. "Obviously, he's still in love with Jane. It's going to be hard."

The CW's "Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs every Monday, 9 p.m/8 p.m. Central Time.
