It seems like honeymoon will not last long for Jane's newlywed parents.

When "Jane the Virgin" returns for its second season, fans will see what happens to Xo and Rogelio, who got very drunk in Las Vegas and got married on a whim back in the season 1 finale. It ought to be a piece of happy news for their daughter Jane (Gina Rodriguez) since her family has just become complete. Unfortunately, the happiness will not last long.

Early this month, actress Andrea Navedo revealed a few details to E! News about the relationship of her character Xiomara/ Xo and Jaime Camil's Rogelio.  According to Navedo, not everyone will be delighted to hear the two together.

"I got a little hint about Rogelio's ex-wife coming back on the scene and she's a little quirky, from what I understand," she spilled. "And there's a reason why Mateo was kidnapped."

Navedo's statement confirms the teaser mentioned by series showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman when the season 1 finale aired last month. According to Urman, both Xo and Rogelio will face a lot of obstacles in the unexpected marriage.

"There are different feelings involved on both sides, and then we're also going to be introducing Rogelio's first wife into the equation, who ... cheated on him and was his first true love. That's going to complicate things. She's a beautiful, beautiful hoarder, so she will come and complicate their lives, and Xo has her own complications," she said.

Urman also mentioned that the love story of Jane's parents will come with several definitive decisions in season 2, which means that whatever they decide to do in their marriage, it will be final. Will Rogelio's blossoming love story with the mother of his daughter be cut short because of his first wife?

Fans of "Jane the Virgin" should also expect to see Jane's transformation as a first time mother when The CW's critically acclaimed telenovela series returns in October.
