Jane's patience will be tested by a hostile new neighbor in season 2.The CW

Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will be clashing with a hostile new neighbor when the CW series "Jane the Virgin" returns for its second season.

E! News reports that the new mother will have to deal with Annabelle (pop star Kesha) who will not be "a big fan of her," as well as Mateo. It appears that Jane will have her hands full trying to curb her irritation on someone who intentionally picks on her son. It has been previously reported that aside from Britney Spears, Kesha would also be joining the series this upcoming installment. She would be playing as a rock and roll singer who just moved into Jane's neighborhood.

The "Tik Tok" singer recently took to Twitter to announce the news to her fans. According to her, she was headed to The Marbella for a guest starring appearance. Resident stars Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni, who plays Rafael, also expressed their excitement about working with Kesha. The former even posted a photo of them three on Instagram, calling the pop star "a dream."

Meanwhile, Rodriguez dished out another spoiler about the new season in an interview with PEOPLE. According to her, fans should look forward to the continued love triangle among her character, her baby's daddy Rafael and Michael (Brett Dier). She teased, however, that the two men might be facing another competition for Jane's affections.

"Jane is going to get married, which is a very cool spoiler. I don't know who. It could be a third person, you never know," Rodriguez shared.

The actress also said that season 2 will see Jane in her journey to figure out motherhood. She shared that the first episode will be showing "some real, honest, vulnerable things" about the new mother. Rodriguez also praised series creator Jennie Snyder for delivering such an honest take on the relationship between a parent and her child.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 will air on Monday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. EST on CW.
