Jane (Gina Rodriguez) opens her heart for new possibilities in the upcoming episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

Titled "Chapter Sixty-One," tonight's episode will see Jane prepare to get back on the dating scene. According to the official synopsis, Jane tries to go out for some casual dating and is pleasantly surprised by her date's actions. Aside from being a gentleman, Jane's date also helps her fix issues with Lina (guest star Diane Guerrero). Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is furious at Xo (Andrea Navedo) when she blows him off, but he is shocked when he finds out why.

Elsewhere, Alba's (Ivonne Coll) normal day at work takes an unexpected turn when a customer makes an appalling comment on the gift shop. Their heated argument leads to Alba taking a political stance. Meanwhile, Chuck (guest star Johnny Messner) helps Petra (Yael Grobglas) follow a trail of new evidence related to her sister's case. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) decides to take Jane's advice and attempts to reveal the truth to Petra.

"Jane the Virgin" started out with Jane in the middle of a love triangle with Michael (Brett Dier) and Rafael. Despite having a kid with Rafael, Jane eventually married Michael, who was fatally shot earlier this season. A lot has happened since then, and TV Guide notes that another love triangle is brewing on the show. This time, it is Rafael who is caught between two girls.

When Jane learns that Rafael and Petra recently hooked up, she will start to have "weird feelings" about her ex. "Right now, everybody is kind of in a nice equilibrium — Jane and Petra and Rafael — and once Rafael starts to have feelings for Petra, that does change the dynamic between all of them," series creator Jennie Snyder Urman told the publication.

Urman went on to reveal that she is not closing her doors on a possible Jane–Rafael reunion. She declined to offer further hints about the next episodes, but she did tease that "people's feelings are constantly evolving."

The third season of "Jane the Virgin" airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
