Sin Rostro caused a lot of trouble to the lives of Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) and her family in the first two seasons of "Jane the Virgin." And she could still be a threat when the comedy-drama series returns for season 3.

In an interview with Deadline, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman revealed that the shrewd villain will still play a major role in "Jane the Virgin" season 3. But aside from her evil plans, fans of the series will also find out what will happen to Rose (Bridget Regan) and Luisa's (Yara Martinez) tumultuous relationship.

"I'd like to put the two of them in couples counseling next year, and see if they can work out their problems," Urman said.

The executive producer also revealed that Rose's relationship with Rafael Solano's (Justin Baldoni) half-brother Derek Ruvelle (Mat Vairo) will be explained in season 3.

In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Urman revealed that Jane's mother Xo (Andrea Navedo) will be in the middle of a big conflict next season because of her unexpected pregnancy. According to the executive producer, Xo will consider other options aside from keeping the baby, since she made it very clear that she does not want to have another child.

"She's raised Jane, and feels this is the time in her life where she can go after what she wants. Not only is the pregnancy unexpected, it's with someone she doesn't want to parent with. That's going to be something we get into as soon as we return," Urman stated.

But this could cause another discord between the Villanueva women and her relationship with Jane's father, Rogelio (Jaime Camil), since the baby's father happened to be Rogelio's rival, Esteban Santiago (Keller Wortham).

Urman also revealed that Jane will struggle to find the balance between being a mother to Mateo and reaching for her dreams.

"Jane will try to find balance and find answers, but in general, I want to explore what it means to grow up, through [her], Mateo, Jane, Alba, and Xo as they go through the next stage of their lives," the executive producer said.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 is slated to return to The CW this fall.
