'Jane the Virgin' season 3: Xo has a big decision to make next season

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will be a roller coaster of emotions for Xo.Scott Everett White/The CW

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will featuring storylines involving abortion. One character is believed to turn to the medical procedure in the upcoming season.

Fans could think of no one other than Xo (Andrea Navedo), who isn't all for the idea of having a baby. "Jane the Virgin" executive producer Jennie Urman hinted during an interview with TV Line that the dance teacher may terminate her pregnancy.

"She doesn't want to have another baby with Rogelio. She certainly doesn't want to have a baby with Esteban (Keller Wortham). So that will be what we deal with when we come back," Urman said of Xo possibly having a baby in "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

She added that while every season of "Jane the Virgin" will see a character or two knocked up, it doesn't mean a baby is involved. "Maybe a pregnancy but not necessarily a baby," she said.

But while Xo strictly shies away from getting pregnant, it does not mean that she will necessarily opt for abortion now that she is heavy with child.

Urman said that "Jane the Virgin" season 3 will see Navedo's character struggle with the fact that the pregnancy made it far more impossible for her to be with Rogelio (Jaime Camil). However, she will also find herself wrestling with pushing through it since she also wants to respect the situation.

For now, it remains to be seen what "Jane the Virgin" has in store for Xo, but it will definitely exciting to found out.

The new season is expected to provide answers to a lot of questions posed by the season 2 finale. For starters, fans can't wait to find out the fate of Michael (Brett Dier).

Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) husband was shot by Rose (Bridget Regan) masquerading as Susanna (Megan Ketch). Whether or not he will live through this tragedy will be answered in "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 is expected to premiere this fall on The CW.
