Season 4 of the CW television show, "Jane the Virgin," started out really strong. Now that the family is expanding, audiences are seeing many twists and turns in the series. With Darci Factor, played by Justina Machado, being pregnant with Rogelio De La Vega's baby, how will things play out in an already quirky but awkward situation?

In a report by TV Fanatic, Rogelio is trying his best to make up for the past wherein he was not able to be there for his daughter and main protagonist, Jane, played by Gina Rodriguez. However, Darci's partner, Esteban Santiago, played by Keller Wortham, just so happens to be Rogelio's sworn enemy in the industry. Given that they are partners, Darci always sides with Esteban, even if Rogelio is the real father.

Rogelio is further frustrated by the fact that Esteban treats the whole situation as if Darci is carrying his actual baby. This may be quite a pickle for Rogelio, but it is something that audiences are endeared to given that Rogelio is trying to atone for his mistakes. Perhaps, this was the intention of the show's creators all along, which is why this storyline has proven to be one of the most compelling plot points for season 4 so far.

According to Entertainment Weekly, it is reported that the birth of Rogelio and Darci's baby is going to be very unique and fun to watch. Given that the show is still in its early stages, it is safe to assume that the show runners are still building up to the climax of this storyline; Rogelio will undoubtedly fight for custody of the child. In episode 4 titled "Chapter Sixty Eight," there is a scene wherein Esteban and Rogelio have a moment.

Could it be a start of both parties finally burying the hatchet? TV Line has reported that after the baby is born, it will take Darci and Rogelio a lot of time to come up with a name. From there, it is safe to assume that Rogelio will be able to get through to Darci and Esteban, and could possibly be considered as part of their family.

"Jane the Virgin" season 4 airs every Friday at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
