Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter a.k.a. Beyoncé is certainly not regretting Shawn Corey Carter a.k.a. Jay-Z putting a ring on her hand back when she was a single lady, as the rapper and artist has raked in achievement after achievement, this year in the Grammys.

The 48-year-old musician is now leading the Grammy Awards with eight nominations to boot. This makes Jay-Z one of the most prestigious stars in the Grammys back in Sunday night where his appearance in the Madison Square Garden was considered a blessing despite his lack of performance. Apart from this, he was also the most-nominated artist in the Awards ceremony last night.

Some of these awards include Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. Apparently, these were also the reasons why he chose not to perform during the ceremony since he also admitted that he simply wanted to enjoy the show that night. Regardless, Jay-Z is not only gaining prestige but will surely look ahead to a successful 2018 as his career and music enterprise rake him more income.

It can be recalled that last year, Jay-Z came only $10 million short of beating Diddy as the wealthiest man on hip-hop, putting his net worth at $810 million. With a strong start at 2018, Jay-Z may finally be able to surpass Diddy with a series of massive business contracts, lofty real estate purchases, and a successful album release and tour. For all fans know, Jay-Z may even become the king of hip-hop financially by the end of 2018.

To add to the rapper's fortune, Jay-Z is also currently living a healthy married life with Beyoncé, who herself has a net worth of $350 million. Not only have the two been raking in cash together for their music career, they also have been through several successful collaboration attempts on tracks such as "Drunk in Love" and "Family Feud."

Rest assured, fans may need only wait until the end of 2018 for Jay-Z to be crowned as the king of hip-hop for the year.
