People Magazine has just announced via Twitter that they have just named actress Jennifer Aniston, 47, as the "World's Most Beautiful Woman" for 2016.

The actress stated that she was surprised when she got the message and later went in to do a photo-shoot for the magazine's cover. Aniston later explained that she has come to embrace her looks over the years, even as she ages, and explained that she felt the most beautiful when she was strong and healthy, like after going to the gym.

"It's funny, it's a really quick transition from not a care and now all of a sudden, we've got to really be mindful of what we put inside our bodies," the actress explained to People. "And how we sleep and take care of ourselves. You can get away with a lot in your 20s."

Aniston continued to explain that she began working out and paying more attention to her figure when her casting agent revealed she didn't get a part in a project for looking too chubby. The actress admitted that at the time her diet was unhealthy, consisting mostly of junk food, and has since been working on fixing that problem.

The actress also explained that if she could she would try to alter her look with a short-haired pixie cut but then confirmed that this would never happen given how her appearance was dependent on her long hair.

When asked to define beauty she related to it more as a kind of inner peace and to never allow others to call herself a failure no matter what kind of obstacles she may have gone through, stating that these were just toxic nonsense that could only make a person feel down and depressed, altering how they look physically to mirror what they were feeling.

Jennifer Aniston will appear next in the films "The Yellow Birds" and "Office Christmas Party."
