Grammy and Oscar Awards winner Jennifer Hudson just dropped a new track last Tuesday. The artist then performed the new song, titled "Burden Down," live on the singing competition series "The Voice."

Hudson released the song last Tuesday along with its music video. The emotional anthem was well received by her fans who are waiting for her new album to arrive in 2018. The song was well received by her fans, especially those people who got to see her perform it live. On the most recent episode the NBC's "The Voice," Hudson serenaded the crowd with her new song.

The singer took the stage alone and played the piano to accompany her voice. The "American Idol" finalist then got away from her piano and sang the last chorus with no instruments backing her up. The audience, contestants, and her fellow judges raged as she finished. The singer also appeared to tear up a little during the end of her performance.

Several publications agree that she totally stole the show with her live performance last Tuesday. The semi-final round was unfortunate for Hudson as a judge. She had to say good-bye to the only two remaining artists on her team, Noah Mac and and Davon Fleming.

Earlier this year, Hudson release the first track "Remember Me" to be included in her upcoming album. Hudson has not released further information about her upcoming album and its official release date.

The year 2017 was an easy year for Hudson after her divorce with longtime husband David Otunga since 2008. Hudson also lost the primary custody to their 8-year-old son David Jr. to his ex-husband in November.

"The Voice" judge is now looking forward to next week as the show takes on its final round with only four contestants remaining.
