Jeremy Lin is in the midst of recovery after sustaining right knee injury. The Brooklyn Nets' point guard is hoping for a great comeback. Fellow athletes and fans have extended their support and prayers. Lin will be out for the entire NBA season due to a ruptured patella tendon he suffered during a match against the Indiana Pacers.

It was a heartbreaker since it was the Nets' first game in the season and they already lost a valuable player. During the fourth quarter of the match, Lin took off for a layup and landed badly in the platform. He immediately cried out, "I'm done."

Lin, known as an outspoken individual about his evangelical faith as a Christian, posted a picture on Instagram with the caption: "Gods not asking me to be perfect, just to be WILLING to follow." Lin's fans rallied behind him with support. One fan commented, "Jeremy Lin 3.0 coming back like a beast, stronger, faster, more powerful, more agile than any version before. GOD WILLING."

Lin had a successful surgery at the Hospital for Special Injury with Dr. Riley Williams taking the helm of the operation. NBA will provide updates on his recovery and will soon announce if he will return next season.

Other than Lin, Boston Celtics' small forward Gordon Hayward also suffered a gruesome ankle injury that is most likely to rule him out for the entire season. Hayward posted a message on his Facebook page sharing his experience minutes after his injury. He said, "Dr. Rosneck, the Cavaliers doctor, braced me as he explained that they wanted to try and pop my ankle back into place. I held on, and the moment they did it, there was just a massive shot of pain, probably the most pain I've ever felt in my life."

Lin and Hayward are expected to return to the court probably next season.
