Jeremy Lin proved that "Linsanity" is still alive after he displayed an outstanding performance during the Brooklyn Net's first home court game.

The 6'3" point guard's return to New York via a new team ended with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists to help the Nets win their home opener against the Indiana Pacers with 103-94.

Lin became a household name for basketball aficionados after he surprised NBA will his exceptional playing skills when he became the starter for the New York Knicks in 2012. But he suffered a series of struggles after he transferred to Houston Rockets in the 2012–2014 seasons, then traded to Los Angeles Lakers in the 2014–2015 season, until he became an unrestricted free agent in July 2016 before signing with the Nets for the current season.

In an interview with NY Daily News, the 28-year-old Palo Alto, California native said that he wants to take everything slow this time to fully appreciate his current success unlike the rapid rise of his fame during his time with the Knicks.

Lin revealed that he regretted how fast things happened during his first time in New York, which resulted in making him more overwhelmed instead of being grateful for the success. He claimed that everything changed around him in an instant, which became hard for him to fully enjoy.

"But if I could go back, every night I would just take a little time and thank God. I would take a little bit of time, soak it in, slow down for a little and not try to keep up with the pace of what everybody else is saying and what the world is trying to say," Lin stated.

Lin's effect on the Nets' rally to win the NBA championship will be measured in their upcoming games, including the one with Chicago Bulls on Monday night.
