Jeremy Lin has jumped from one team to the other, from the New York Knicks to the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the player is now in his first year with the Brooklyn Nets, and he has since confirmed this is the team where he feels he belongs the most.

Speaking to SLAM, Lin explained that he felt good now that he was a starting point guard for the team. In his previous teams, Lin had been benched as a second or third back-up player, but very rarely was he one of the players to start a game. This not only saw reduced time in the seasons but also a reduced role for each team he played in.

"To have this role, I'm so excited I can't even really explain just how happy I am. There's days where after we work out or play pickup or whatever, I'm just like, Man, it feels natural. I'm a leader. I'm a starting point guard. I run the show," he stated. "I wanna be the guy leading the charge, and I feel that here," the athlete went on to say.

He also explained that he was grateful to his fans more than ever. Lin went on to state that his story is very unique, allowing fans of all different places to connect with him in some form. While others might connect with his story because of his Asian origins, others might connect with him because he went to Harvard or because he is the underdog in the NBA.

With this newfound level of satisfaction, Lin has been performing well in the 2016–2017 NBA season. It is widely speculated he will complete his contract with the Nets and then renew it for future seasons. According to Fansided, even if his performance does not rise above expectations he is still a better choice than what the Nets currently have available to them.
