Jeremy Lin is good as gone from the Los Angeles Lakers but don't expect him to be jobless for long.

Two teams, the Indiana Pacers and the Denver Nuggets could make a serious push for Lin as they look for ample support for their point guard needs.

The Pacers are looking for someone who could spell George Hill at the point and Lin could be a perfect fit. With C.J. Watson not expected to return, Lin could be picked up to strut his pick-and-roll moves for the Pacers who are looking to rebound next season.

The Nuggets have long been linked to possibly acquiring Lin. However, that was with the understanding that the Nuggets would be going with Mike D' Antoni, Lin's former coach when he was still with the Knicks. The Nuggets opted to go with Michael Malone, the former head coach of the Sacramento Kings.

With word that the Nuggets are planning to trade Ty Lawson, getting Lin is a sensible choice for the Nuggets. Even if D'Antoni is not the one calling the shots, an open slot in the point guard position could fit Lin and hopefully the Asian-American can adopt to the system of coach Malone.

There are at least five more teams interested in Lin's services though everything seems to be on equal ground for now. Other teams in pursuit of the Harvard University standout include the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns and the Brooklyn Nets.

Like the Pacers and the Nuggets, these teams need a reliable point guard to beef up their backcourt rotation.

The team where Lin lands will likely be known by the first couple of days when NBA Free Agency picks off this July. Lin will likely be dangled a lower and short-term deal.

For now, there is no team that has an advantage so it may all depend on the new blood coming from the 2015 NBA Draft and the other free agents available next month.
