Linsanity will have to wait, as Jeremy Lin's injury proved to be more severe than it was initially thought to be. The National Basketball Association (NBA) star is now on his way to British Columbia in order to patch up his said knee.

It can be recalled that this season, the Brooklyn Nets suffered a heavy loss due to Lin being unable to continue because of his knee injury. This had the 29-year-old prematurely hitting the benches during the NBA season, leaving the rest of the Nets team members to carry each game.

Despite Lin proclaiming that he can now move or bend his knee, he still has to wear braces for them and thus was still not allowed to come back to the season since another player could easily fall on his knee and reignite the injury. Lin has posted an Instagram photo revealing his whereabouts now and showed him to be in Canada, undergoing his knee rehabilitation at the Fortius Sport & Health center outside Vancouver.

"The Nets and I have decided on a really comprehensive rehab program that will have me out here for most of the season. The goal is to rebuild my body from the ground up, each and every muscle and joint," said Lin, accepting the sad fact that he has to remain in rehab for the rest of the NBA season. Hopefully, the rehab will do him good so he will be ready come the next season for the Nets.

Earlier in the season, Lin suffered a devastating rupture to his patellar tendon. This muscle is located at the bottom of the kneecaps and connects it to the shinbone. It caused Lin a lot of pain in the court that he even had to be carried to the locker room by his teammates, leaving the Indiana court in tears.

In the meantime, the best that the Nets can do for Lin is to monitor his progress and give him moral encouragement until he has fully recovered.
