As he continues to recover from the injury he sustained earlier in the season, Jeremy Lin recently expressed his sentiments with regards to the progress of the Brooklyn Nets and the team's notable players as the season progresses.

In an interview with Tom Dowd of NBA.com, Lin said that he is excited for the future of his team. The 29-year-old point guard added that at this point in the season, glimpses of good basketball can be seen in the league's younger teams.

He acknowledged the progress of players he has played with and watched grow over the past year. Among these players are Spencer Dinwiddie, who, in his absence, has stepped up as a quality playmaker as emulated in his rising assist rate. Dinwiddle currently also has one of the best assist to turnover ratios in the league. Lin also praised the development of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson as a small-ball power forward.

"I think that Spencer has done a great job," said Lin. "He's playing with more confidence. He has a lot of tools. Just a really good solid player. People have maybe not given him the credit he's deserved, but now he's starting to show that. I think we've seen Rondae take huge steps as well. Rondae has been one of the more consistent players."

Lin also talked about sophomore small forward/shooting guard Caris LeVert. In the preseason, Lin expressed his excitement for the future of LeVert after he was apparently impressed with the swingman's performance during their summer workout sessions. Lin noted that people seem to forget how LeVert had been hurt for a long period of time in the past, missing his last two years in college.

Lin was forced to observe the rest of the games off-court after a knee injury which he suffered on the Net's opening night loss against the Indiana Pacers ended his season.
