Jessa Duggar's husband Ben Seewald digs into his Bible: 'ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God'
Ben Seewald posted a photo of a heavily underlined and annotated Bible page on his Facebook account on December 15 with the caption "'ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God."
Wife Jessa Duggar-Seewald also posted the same photo and caption on her Instagram. She and Ben, who celebrated their first month wedding anniversary on December 1, travelled to Hot Springs, Arkansas on Friday. The Bible passage was the first photo she shared after their road trip.
The caption is a quote from the Second Book of Timothy, which is underlined in red in the picture. The whole passage reads, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
The 19-year-old Ben, who wrote in his Facebook bio that he aspires to be a pastor or a missionary and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, regularly posts about his faith and ruminations on social media.
In November, the '19 Kids and Counting' co-star shared with his nearly half a million Instagram followers an image of a calm scene of trees and sunlight contrasted with a picture of waves crashing into a rugged cliff. The photos are meant to illustrate "inner peace" versus the "storms of life."
As a caption, Ben wrote Philippians 4:6-7: "Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
He also urged his followers to surrender everything to Christ.
"Do not be worried. Don't be burdened with cares and anxiety. Surrender it all to Jesus and you too can have a peace that passes beyond comprehension! A peace so deep, so complete, so transcendent, that is cannot be stirred," Ben wrote.
