A new trailer for "Marvel's Jessica Jones" season 2 has been released this week, revealing the threats that the show's titular character will be dealing with this time around. A brief look into the Netflix series' next chapter hints that Jessica (Krysten Ritter) is not yet over with her past, as her dark and deep-seated memories continue to manifest and disturb her present life. The trailer also confirms that Kilgrave (David Tennant) will return from his grave and haunt Jessica once more.

As reported by Screen Rant, the return of Kilgrave in "Jessica Jones" season 2 is not totally unexpected, as set photos were leaked showing Tennant and Ritter filming a scene together. Back then, it was not clear how Tennant's character has been resurrected, given that Kilgrave was killed in season 1. Per the latest trailer, it is finally revealed that Kilgrave is technically not brought back to life, or was not able to escape death in any way. Instead, he will still make his presence known as a vision that only Jessica can see.

It is understandable that Jessica continues to be tormented by Kilgrave's vision inside her mind, knowing how the villain had abused her for so many years. Even after killing her abuser, Jessica will struggle to get over the bad memories that Kilgrave had given her.

Aside from Kilgrave's phantom, "Jessica Jones" season 2 will unravel the secrets of the past, including the mystery behind the car crash that killed Jessica's parents. The trailer shows that Jessica's memories will come rushing back, some of which she could not clearly remember. It is possible that some of her memories were blocked after her stay inside the IGH facility, and these memories might help her figure how to solve the new threats.

Meanwhile, the latest trailer for "Jessica Jones" season 2 shows the possible transformation of Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) into the classic comic book superhero known as Hellcat. According to Comic Book, there are a few hints in the trailer about the rise of Hellcat that some fans may not have noticed. Hellcat is known in the comics to possess psychic abilities, as well as enhanced strength and agility. In the Netflix series, Trish has already undergone physical training to enhance her fighting skills, and she also received experimental combat skills that could have given her some powers.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 will premiere on March 8, 2018 on Netflix.
