The next season of "Jessica Jones" is already confirmed, although fans will have to wait a bit longer for the premiere. Meanwhile, there is a new comic series that is reportedly set in between the Netflix seasons to launch this fall.

In an interview with IGN, series creator Brian Michael Bendis said that the upcoming solo series has been in the works for some time, way before the original season of the Netflix adaptation was conceptualized. Bendis refused to say anything about the new series in order not to spoil it, although he did hint that it is true to the franchise, and Jessica Jones will again find herself in an almost-impossible experience.

"You're going to find out about it in the first issue. We're going to open up a book where Jessica's world has blown up in her face. She's at a place you'll least expect her. You're going to find all of her relationships have altered," Bendis teased.

Meanwhile, it is said that the next season of the Netflix show will showcase a more "personal story'"for Jones. In season 1, it was revealed that in continuing the series, she will also have to contend with a new addition to her life – her baby girl Danielle – together with her husband Luke Cage.

Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg hinted at how the season 2 will be fleshed out, saying to ET, "Jessica Jones, her journey is a very personal one, it's very intimate... So, the guys coming in to take over the city, she doesn't really care, she's like 'Take us down, I just need to pay my rent.' Whatever we do, it will be personal to her. It will be a personal story."

Season 2 of "Jessica Jones" is expected to be get a release date soon, although it may be sometime after another spin-off, "Luke Cage," debuts in September.
