A jet has overshot its landing on a runway and crashed into a chain linked fence at Flying Cloud Airport this morning. The Embraer Phenom 300 finally came to a halt on the shoulder of Flying Cloud Drive juste before 9 a.m.

Two pilots who were flying the corporate jet are reportedly uninjured after the incident at the Minneapolis suburb of Eden Prairie on Monday.

The crash caused some lanes to close for a few hours, but the airport reportedly reopened again in the afternoon.

Investigators are looking into what happened to the jet, which was scheduled to land at the airport at precisely 8.47 p.m. after departing from Pittsburgh at 7.31 a.m.

The plane reportedly arrived slightly late, and ended up overshooting the runway upon landing.

The twin-engine jet, which can seat up to 7 people, carried no other passengers.
