Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard came home to the United States to attend Michaella Bates' wedding, but they are now back in Central America as they continue their mission to spread the word of God. On a new post on the Dillard Family blog, Jill revealed that she and her husband have been taking Spanish classes and she also shared some details about their short trip to the U.S.

She said that when they were first invited to the wedding, they didn't think that they would be able to attend, but once they realized that they needed to come home so that she could film the TLC documentary "Breaking the Silence" with her sister Jessa, they were happy that the filming dates coincided with that of the wedding.

The mother of one said that in order for her and Derick not to be behind on their studies, they increased their hours of study during the first half of the week to make up for the time that they were going to lose while they were in the U.S. But everything appeared to turn out well as Jill said that they had a great time with everyone.

"It was definitely worth it when we took off for a great reunion with family and friends!" she wrote. "It was a lovely wedding celebration."

Michaella's wedding was filmed for an episode of "Bringing Up Bates." Jill's older sister, Jana, served as one of the bridesmaids.

As for their mission work, Jill revealed that she and Derick are no longer by themselves as her sister Joy and her best friend, Carlin Bates, are with them now in Central America. The 24-year old said that having the two ladies around definitely helps her and Derick, especially since they have been studying Spanish.

Of their classes, Jill said that she and her husband are enjoying them and that each of them has an instructor who helps them practice conversational Spanish on a daily basis.

Jill also shared some new photos on the blog, with a few shots showing baby Israel, and some pictures showing her family alongside Joy and Carlin.
