Jill Duggar pregnancy latest: '19 Kids and Counting' star remains pregnant at 41 weeks — and counting

Derick Dillard posted on Instagram: "Still waiting to meet our little guy. Maybe we'll have an Easter baby! #jillmdillard #babydilly"Instagram

Baby Dilly is still inside his mommy's tummy.

"19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Duggar-Dillard is still waiting to get into labor despite being several days late for her due date. Baby Dilly is the first child of Jill and Derick, who got married on June 21 last year. He was expected to come out last March 24, but has not arrived until now.

The reality show star had a false alarm last Friday though. Reports claim that she was already in labor, but it turned out that she was only having the Braxton-Hicks contractions during that time.

The anticipation for the arrival of the latest Duggar family member was ignited when Derick wrote a new blog entry on the official DuggarFamily.com site, saying:

"I can't even describe right now the anticipation I am feeling, as I am about to get to meet my firstborn son for the first time face to face. So many people have already testified that nothing can quite described that moment and that I'll just have to experience it for myself."

But Derick posted a photo of a still-pregnant Jill on Easter Sunday, which proves that she has not given birth yet.

A late arrival is not that surprising, according to Jill, since she expects the baby to come a little bit late. She has a lot of knowledge about childbirth since she has been working as a professional midwife for a couple of years. She is also very experienced with handling children, having helped her parents and other older siblings take care of the younger children in the Duggar household.

The Duggar family became popular because of their hit reality show in TLC that features Jim Bob and Michelle's 19 kids, of which Jill is the fourth.

Despite the delay in her childbirth, Jill, along with Derick and her parents, will be featured in a two-hour TV special on May 5, which is expected to focus on her childbirth.
