Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the mother and father tandem from "19 Kids and Counting," will be appearing on "The Kelly File" show this week to air their thoughts and concerns on their son Josh Duggar's child molestation raps.

"Next week we will sit down with Megyn Kelly on Fox News to share our hearts with you about the pain that we walked through as a family 12 years ago, the tears we all shed and the forgiveness that was given. We appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers for our family at this time," the couple said on the Duggar Family website.

They added that a portion of the interview will air on "The Kelly File" on Wednesday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET, while the full one-hour special will air on Friday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET.

This will be the first time in days that the couple will confront the issue that has hounded their family, causing the TLC Network to pull their episodes off the air and several other companies to pull out their advertisements during the show.

The news about Josh's past was first revealed when In Touch magazine published a police report that said Josh fondled several young girls when he was just a teenager.

This prompted Josh to resign from the Family Research Council. He then offered a statement of apology: "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," he said.

His wife Anna, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child, defended Josh and said he is "someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended, someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right."
