Jim Wallis in London to launch new book

New York Times best-selling author Jim Wallis will be launching his new book, Seven Ways to Change the World, in a special event at Church.co.uk in central London this Sunday.

The evening is hosted by Faithworks and is a rare opportunity to hear Wallis, an international commentator on faith and politics, speaking in the UK. He will talk about his convictions that faith is coming back to work as a progressive force for positive social change.

Jim Wallis is an influential man of action. His New York Times bestseller, God's Politics, was described by Prime Minister Gordon Brown as "powerful reading for anyone interested in social change". Published in the UK in 2006, it has now sold more than 300,000 copies worldwide.

In new book Seven Ways to Change the World, he argues that traditional politics is failing to solve the world's biggest challenges, and explores the seven commitments that he proposes could make the difference in resolving some of the greatest global challenges the world faces today.

Steve Chalke, Founder of Faithworks, will join Wallis, and the evening will be hosted by Pete Brierley of Headspace at Church.co.uk. There will be time to reflect, ask questions and worship together.

Faithworks is a movement of thousands of individuals, churches and organisations motivated by their Christian faith to serve the needs of their local communities, and positively influence society as a whole.
