Celebrated vocalist Jocelyn Brown is joining a special Pentecost thanksgiving event in central London next month.

The Change the World ticketed event on 26 May will be hosted by Premier Gospel Radio's Muyiwa Olarewaju and includes music from gospel singer Noel Robinson, MOBO nominee Junior Garr, and The Renewal choir, who will be launching their charity single 'Change the World'.

Joel Edwards of anti-poverty movement, Micah Challenge, and Christian Aid director Loretta Minghella will be on hand to share their thoughts on how the church can act to change the world.

A time of reflection will encourage people to 'pray, act and give'.

Edwards said: "History has never known such an avalanche of human desire for a better world.

"The prevailing ugliness only urges us to want more change. Change the World concert is another expression of that desire.

"And the Jesus Agenda provides us with a unique tool kit for change."

Christian Aid’s Head of Church Relations Dionne Gravesande said: "We are very excited to welcome the performers, speakers, and supporters to this exciting event where we will stand with the church at Pentecost, and share our work to prepare people for the fight against inequality."

Tickets for the event at Methodist Central Hall cost between £13.50-£15, plus booking fee. Students and children up to 16 are £10.50. Doors will open at 6.15pm. You can order tickets online at http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/
