Joey Feek to be laid to rest in family cemetery
After losing her battle with cervical cancer on March 4, 40-year-old country singer Joey Marie Feek will be laid to rest in the Feek family cemetery.
The funeral arrangements for the singer, who was part of the Joey+Rory husband-and-wife country duo, were released Saturday. According to Owens Memorial Services, Joey's family will celebrate her life with a private interment on their family property. The date has yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, her husband Rory shared through a Facebook post that he and their 2-year-old daughter Indiana finally returned to their farm near Columbia, Tennessee the day after her death. He posted a photo of himself and Indiana while visiting the horses that he gave his late wife in 2015.
Rory shared his plans to return to their farm on his This Life I Live blog. "After four-and-a-half months in Indiana, we will soon be back home in Tennessee. Me, and our little one, with our older daughters. It's hard for me to imagine being there without Joey, but at the same time... it is where she wants us to be. It's where she will be," the singer-songwriter wrote.
He also shared a photo of a fenced lot, writing a heartbreaking caption that reads, "...making plans that I hoped we would never have to make." It seems like he and family and friends are making the final arrangements for the upcoming interment.
...making plans that hoped you would never have to make.

Joey's cancer battle began in 2014, when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer four months after Indiana was born. In November 2015, Rory announced that his wife had started receiving end-of-life hospice palliative care in her family home in Alexandria, Indiana, where she eventually succumbed to her disease.
Aside from Rory and Indiana, Joey also left behind her two older step-daughters Heidi and Hopie Feek, as well as her parents Jack and June Martin and her three sisters.
Owens Memorial Services also revealed that in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Rory and Indiana at P.O. Box 5471 Vancouver, WA 98668.
