Joey Feek, who has been fighting stage 4 cancer since 2014, will treat her fans for the last time with a poignant new album by her and her husband (who are collectively known as the bluegrass and country duo Joey + Rory).

The couple's final album is called "Hymns That Are Important to Us," which is unendingly special to Joey.

"A lot has taken place in a year's time, but through it all, these songs have given me such strength," Joey said in a press release.

"They've given me such hope, and they give me something to look forward to," the singer added. As Rory has already said back then, "Hymns That Are Important to Us" will also serve as the final album he will ever put out.

Joey recorded her vocals for the album after her first surgery, while she was "hooked up to every machine possible." She recalled how a particular song in the album titled "I Need Thee Every Hour" came about.

Even though she was not in the best condition, she remembered how she suddenly summoned the strength to sit up enough and sing. She then found herself singing "I need Thee, oh, I need Thee, every hour, I need Thee."

Joey reiterates how she needs God every hour of every day, especially during these trying times. She hopes that her music will make other people laden with problems and issues realize that they need the big man upstairs more than anything too.

More than that, "Hymns That Are Important to Us" is extra special for Joey because it is a testament to her and Rory's love. During an interview with People, Joey recalled how she met her loving husband, which turns out to be a case of love at first sight.

Joey said that she was "one of dozens of people in the audience" at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville where Rory sang back in 2002. "From the first song Rory sang, I fell head over heels for him," Joey recounted.

"Hymns That Are Important to Us" will be out Feb. 12.
