Country artist Joey Feek is making the most of the holiday season spending time with her family. In a family photo posted by her husband Rory Feek, the singer is seen reading a book to her child. The whole family gathered together to spend time with the singer on Christmas Day.

Last month, Joey's 49-year-old better half, Rory, expressed his concern that Christmas may not be the same without his wife. It was pretty obvious that the family is going through hardships because of the singer's battle against cancer.

Rory's blog, "This Life I Live," has become a documentation of his wife's journey as someone living with cancer. On Monday, the 49-year-old country artist wrote on his blog that in November, Christmas was the furthest thing from his mind.

Basing on the doctor's prognosis, they thought Joey was not going to make it to spend the holiday season with them and that "this Christmas was going to be a difficult one to get through."

In 2014, the country star was diagnosed with cancer, and after going through intensive treatments, the 40-year-old "Cheater, Cheater" singer decided not to pursue additional treatment. She has been in a hospice ever since, spending time with her family from time to time, while awaiting her fate.

In Rory's previous blog post, which he titled "Santa Baby," the family spent Christmas together and was seen in a photo with a real Santa Claus. Joey showed tremendous strength as she played with her kid, whom she hasn't seen weeks prior because she was bedridden while being treated in the hospice.

Meanwhile, according to a report by People, the family has relocated to Joey's childhood home in Indiana last October. Although the family feared that Joey may not have enough time to spend with them, they deal with the situation positively.
