Joey Feek shows how special her daughters are in the latest photo posted by her husband Rory on their official Facebook page.

The female half of the Joey+Rory country duo is battling terminal cancer, but she continues to express her love for her 23-month-old daughter Indiana and her step-daughters Heidi and Hopie by wearing a necklace that bears three silver charm pendants where their names are engraved.

Rory captioned it, "...keeping our girls close to her heart."

Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June 2014, and it quickly spread to her colon in 2015. In October, the musical duo announced that her cancer had become terminal and they decided to stop all treatments.

In November, she returned to her home in Alexandria, Indiana where she is currently receiving end-of-life hospice palliative care treatments while surrounded by her family and friends. Despite her failing health, Joey managed to live past the Christmas holidays, and they could possibly celebrate Indiana's second birthday on Feb. 17.

Joey could also look forward to this year's Grammy Awards, where their song "If I Needed You" is nominated for the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category.

When the couple first learned about their Grammy nomination, in Dec. 2015, Rory revealed on his Facebook page that his wife was happy and shocked.

"[I] woke my bride up this morning with a baby in my arms and the news that our version of 'If I Needed You' was nominated for a Grammy," Rory shared. "As her excitement and tears flowed into mine, she said, 'How can that be?'"

Rory said that the Grammy nomination came as a surprise since their song did not receive any radio airplay and they never got the chance to promote it since Joey was already battling cancer when it came out.

Rory said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that getting a Grammy nomination was like winning the lottery for them.

"Joey and I feel like we're just regular folks — the kind that buys and listens to those artists' records. So to be nominated for an award like this with them is such an honor," the country singer-songwriter said.

Joey is also currently spending her time planting seedlings in empty eggshells for her window bay garden, as reported on their blog This Life I Live.
