Bryce Dallas Howard's "Jurassic World" character, Claire, started out as a prim-and-proper businesswoman but noticeably changed by the end of the film. Speaking with E! Online, the actress stated that Claire has changed and that she will be a completely different person compared to the one audiences first met.

"Claire is a different person now," the actress-director explained. "The person she is at the end of the first movie is not the person she was in the beginning. Her armor of sorts was that white, pristine outfit with heels in a very corporate environment and stuff, and the chick at the end - totally different. So yeah, it better not be heels."

Howard's last statement was a direct jab at the critics who lampooned some elements of the film, particularly the fact that Claire was going through several action sequences while still wearing her high-heel footwear. There is even a scene in the film that focuses entirely on Claire getting over the fact that she needs to remove them and go barefoot.

Despite this, the scenes in the film do showcase how the character has changed. Fans have pointed out that in the context of the movie they make sense but it would be a disservice to the character if Claire is portrayed as the same, "pristine" character she was at the beginning.

According to a report from Screen Rant, this change may be akin to that seen of Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) in the "Alien" films or that of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) in the "Terminator" films. Both of the aforementioned characters were portrayed as "the typical housewife" but by the second film they had evolved into experienced, action-ready warriors.

Bryce Dallas Howard will be accompanied by her co-lead, Chris Pratt, when the film opens in theaters nationwide on June 22, 2018.
