Dinosaurs will look very different come "Jurassic World 2," if a new rumor is to be believed. The latest reports suggest that the sequel will feature the creatures as agents of crime-fighting.

This plot draws inspiration from the alternate history created by John Sayles for the fourth "Jurassic Park" movie. It follows the gun-toting mercenary dinosaurs sweeping the cities of criminals and drug lords and saving people in need.

The script was rumored to have been approved by Steven Spielberg, the director of the original "Jurassic Park" films. It is believed that "Jurassic World 2" was meant to adapt the "Jurassic Park 4" storyline and that the first film was building up to it.

Fans will remember that in "Jurassic World," Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong) escaped the mayhem in a helicopter. As he made his getaway, he carried with him dinosaur embryos, which are rumored to later be transformed into smart super-dinos.

There's no way of knowing if this will ever come to pass, but it will certainly be a game-changing plot. "Jurassic World" is expected to be different from the first film, and the involvement of armored mercenary dinosaurs will surely be something new in the franchise.

However, last year, "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow told Entertainment Weekly that the sequel will simply explore the relationships between the dinosaurs and humans.

With Trevorrow's statement, the theory of Movie Pilot about dinosaurs possibly being friendly enough to be pets may actually happen in "Jurassic World 2."

Not only will it explore the link between the two species, it will also be counted as "different," which new director JA Bayona will be going for in "Jurassic World 2."

Right now, it's too early to get confirmations about this since the film won't be out until June 22, 2018. Fans will simply have to wait for official details to come around.
